An important strategy to remember is to open first whenever the opportunity arrises. Opening first means that when you are in position, do not be afraid to attack first. By opening, you are taking control of the point. I personally can attest that this is easier said than done. However, it is a critical component when playing at higher levels and helps players escape the typical behavior of pushing point after point. Please rememeber to still add safety to your loop by adding spin.  Always use this point as the set up for your next shot.
