  • Division Finalist, JOOLA North American Teams Championships
  • Power Pong Under 13 Champion

When and how did you start playing?
My dad who got me started. He would take me to tournaments all over California and tell me about his games or show me some strokes. The first time I played was when I was eight, but I thought pursuing a career playing with the neighbor's kids was a better way to spend time. Later on when I was ten, I started playing again and it was on and off. I finally decided to commit to TT when I met Alicia Wei. My dad invited her and her brother Mark to our house to play in our club and my dad asked me if I would want to join again for serious and play with Alicia. I decided that I would.

Describe your playing style.
My playing style varies. Sometimes I can be all over the table looping and other times I'm defensive. But I'd like to say that I am mostly an offensive looper.

Who is your coach? Who do you practice with?
Grace Lin has been my coach ever since I started to play seriously. We go to her club every weekend to practice with her and other players. During the week I practice with my dad and brother in our home club.

What are you currently working on?
Right now I'm working on my mental game as well as my overall game. There is always something I can improve on.

What are your table tennis goals – short-, intermediate- and long-term?
Right now I'm really working on getting my rating up and becoming a  more confident player. In the long run I would like to win more events and try for the Junior Girls Team.

What are your interests outside table tennis?
Other than table tennis, I'm pretty artsy. I'm really into photography right now (as some of you may have noticed at the tournaments...), it's pretty much my other major focus in life. I'm also into creative writing and hanging out with my friends when I have the time.

Tell us something really interesting about yourself.
I couldn't answer this so I had Ethan do it for me: "You draw very good and you're creative. You have a good attitude."
