Hey everyone, its me again.. Baltimore teams was a pretty good tournament overall. For me, well i got.. destroyed.. like really badly, but even though i lost all of my matches(except for the one i lost) this was a good learning experience for me and i hope that ill learn for these experiences and improve my game. i stayed for the semifinals and finals. They were filled w/ amazing rallies and awesome shots. For anyone who missed it, East China university beat Canada 2(i think its canada 2...) Anyways now that NA tams is over, its time to get ready for US Nationals...

Hey yall. I dont know why I'm talking in a southern accent but oh well. So the last tournament I went was the Knoxville tournament. Olena Sowers was there as well as Amanda Dubina. I did okay almost beating a 2000 and a 1900. They were all 3-2.=). My current rating is 1770. I hope to raise it above 1850 by the end of the Nationals. I am eleven so I have a lot of school things as well. And Iwrote this. not the my dad so peace.

Table tennis meets Bakersfield.

Hi Joolausa, last week I did a presentation. It was a sports night at a local specialized sports facility. My dad, my sister and I played in front of people from our city and taught them about table tennis. We brought our own table and barriars. People were amazed. The three of us basically played games with eachother the whole time and also played with the crowd. My dad and my sister talked to a lot of people and tried to teach them more about table tennis and tell them about our own club here in Bakersfield. It was very fun, I think we gave the basics of table tennis and even encouraged some to start playing!

Training...

My time is very limited. I have been training for the World Junior Championships, and I think I am almost ready. I have been preparing by: Lifting weights, running, and doing numerous drills. The only thing that i need to work on is my backhand. The power is there but I need to be more consistant. I need to shorten my stroke to be more precise. I only have roughly a month do prepare myselffor the World Junior Championships and Nationals.

I just came back from F.I.T yesterday. On the first day i did not play so well, but on the second i played very good. I won under 1300, and beat 1500 players. I also met a friend of mine allen who is also a member of team joola and i never even knew about it. I hope to see everyone in Baltimore

I have been practicing for some upcoming tournaments.  If anyone knows some good tounaments in Florida let me know. School  is my number one priority; you never know if your going to break your ankle and never be able to walk again. I am currently going to college instead of highschool. I plan on transfering to a larger college to play table tennis. I play other sports like golf too, so I stay really busy. I am looking ofward to my next blog; I hope I have more news. Thanks

Foundation and Hard Work

Posted by Arun Jha in Untagged

Hi! I'm back! I just played Stanford two weeks ago and I performed well. My rating rose from 1300 to 1489, one hunderd and eighty-nine points. With persistence, focus, and good coaching my goal is to reach 1600 to 1700 by the Nationals this December.  My key focus area now is my foundation and I am getting great help from my coaches who constantly reinforce this point tome.

So signing off for now.... till next time.
